Helping Cats left at roadside

Cats R Us a County Durham based registered charity has launched a scheme which it hopes will ease animals suffering and reunite owners with their lost pets. In light of recent cases of deceased cats left at side of road for days and strays going un scanned for microchips they are recruiting volunteers especially in Darlington and surrounding areas who can go and scan cats be they stray in someone's garden or a deceased cat seen at side of road. Local shopkeepers, churches, community groups, tenants associations all could be involved by having a scanner at their location, members of the public are also welcome to volunteer, we will provide scanners and full support. People who are confident handling cats and looking to help should contact the charity. A fundraising page has also been set up to fund even more scanners and donations towards cost are most welcome. https://www.justgiving.com/campa…/charity/cats-r-us/scanners Fantastic response so far so as well a scanners we already have in stock we have ordered more to be delivered soon and started raising funds exclusively for more scanners. Hopefully we will get them out to volunteers by end of next week. We are also looking into a logo poster that can be displayed in windows stating scanner here type of information. Thank you everyone for your responses so far.
